"Great food and service. I'm definitely coming back for the Latin vibes Great ambience here even though it was not busy when I was there on a Thursday evening For starters, the chicken empanada was warm and delicious. Tried the trifongo with pork for the entree and this was delicious and filling. Lovely place!! The server Caroline was attentive"

"Love Latin roots!! Our server Caroline was very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions! Everything is FRESH so expect a little wait, but it's not unreasonable for how tasty it all is. So far I've had the nachos, ropa vieja, empanada flight, calamari, ceviche (large portion!), and seafood soup. Highly recommended for date night, great for large groups, or just hanging out by the bar"

"On Saturday, January 10, 2026, my husband and I went to Greenville, NC to hike the South Tar River Greenway and Wildwood Park. After completing six miles, we headed back to our car and started looking for a place to enjoy lunch and a couple of drinks. We came across Latin Roots Bar & Grill on Google Maps and decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitress, Nelly (I believe that was her name), was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful when it came to choosing both food and drinks. The drinks were well made and delicious, and the food did not disappoint. We highly recommend Latin Roots Bar & Grill if you’re in Greenville. We’ll definitely be back—there are still a few trails in the area we plan to explore!"

"Everything we ordered was delicious! The music was lively. The ambiance was perfect and the way they celebrated birthdays drew my attention. We ordered the Bandeja Paisa and it was perfect. Enough food for two meals. Our server was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu even though it was just his 4th day."

"This place was amazing! We had never been before, and they Mofongo was raved about. We arrived on a Saturday evening and it was short staffed. So the reason why they got a three, however our server once he realized we were, his table was an absolute delight. He was very knowledgeable and gave us very good suggestions. We tried the margarita flight, blackberry, pineapple, and passionfruit, and it was Chef kiss. We had the empanada flight as well, the beef and the mozzarella were definitely the better options. I had the seafood Mofongo, which was delicious, it was definitely worth the price. My husband had The chicken with the garlic sauce. He did say it was a little dry without the sauce, but the sauce itself is really good and the chicken was cooked well."

"The flavors are phenomenal! Don't expect typical Mexican. The flavors are bold and take you to the shores of Colombia, Brazil, the Dominican & Cuba. The drinks are strong and delicious! We started with two empanadas that were flakey and packed with flavor. They brought out a cup of lentil soup to try. I almost changed my order for a bowl of it. It doesn't look like much, but it's slap yo mama good. Our entrees we're churrasco steak mofongo and tropical mahi mahi that was in a rich coconut cream sauce. We got the cheesecake to go and the guava sauce was divine! Highly recommend you try Latin Roots ASAP."

"This has to be one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. The menu includes meals from a variety of Latin countries and each entree had its own delicious palate. The Island Creole Salmon was the best prepped salmon I’ve had, I don’t take that lightly. The presentation on all the meals was beautiful. The owner, Sancia, has done a wonderful job at creating a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment. The service was another level of amazing, O Neil, the owner’s husband made casual and personal conversation with us, as well as checking on us alongside our waitress and letting us try there lentil soup on the house. Our waitress, Naomi, was very attentive and checked in regularly, as well. Definitely come here if you are in the area!"

"While killing time before an appointment I was looking around on Google maps. I quickly found Latin Roots and started looking at pictures and the food looked so enticing. We decided to give it a try. Upon entering we noticed beautiful decor, a well kept restaurant, and it was super clean. Everything was on the up and up. We were greeted by a very professional waitress. She took out drink order and offered help to any questions we might have. There were a lot of dishes on the menu that caught our eye but we landed on Pollo Al Ajo Blanco. It was perfect. We'll seasoned, juicy chicken and the garlic cream sauce was excellent. With the mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes it was perfectly paired. Everything was great! We are looking forward to our next visit, hopefully soon. It's definitely worth giving it a try and I'm sure you will be equally satisfied."
